What is the Criteria for Transferring My Credits?

Ouachita Hills accepts transfer credits with these criteria:

  • Official transcripts are submitted directly from each college attended.

  • Credits for transfer are for college level courses in which the student earned a grade of C or higher.

  • Credits are from accredited institutions.

Will my credits transfer from an Unaccredited School?

Transfer credits from an unaccredited school are considered for acceptance on an individual basis provided the course syllabi is provided, the teacher had academic credential to teach the class, and the student has demonstrated satisfactory academic performance during the first semester of study. Transfers from an unaccredited school will be determined by the end of the first semester of enrollment.

Evaluation of credits

The Academic Affairs Committee will evaluate the credits for transfer in collaboration with the faculty in the course area. The course title, description and possibly course syllabi will be evaluated.

There may be credits that can not transfer.

Additional Information

College transcripts and course syllabi issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by an official and authorized English translation.

A maximum transfer of 70 semester hours is permitted for a four-year degree; 40 for a 2-year degree.  Ouachita Hills College reserves the right to accept or reject credits earned at other institutions.
