Thank you for visiting the Ouachita Hills College website. OHC exists to prepare young men and women for lives of service, mission, and leadership. From its earliest beginnings, the college has been committed to following God’s counsel in education and creating an environment where students grow spiritually, intellectually, and practically.

Our goal is not only to prepare students for a profession but to equip them to live purposeful lives dedicated to serving Christ and others.

Ouachita Hills College began with a vision.

Dr. Chester and Harriet Clark were burdened with the desire to see young people trained for service and mission. They envisioned a place where students would receive a Christ-centered education that develops both character and competence.

Their dream was to see self-sacrificing young people prepared to stand for truth, serve others, and proclaim the message of Christ’s soon return. What began as a vision has grown into a community dedicated to training students who desire to live lives of faith, service, and mission.

Ouachita Hills College exists to provide a Christ-centered, character-oriented education that equips students to succeed in their chosen profession and to be active soul winners.

Our vision is to demonstrate the power of implementing God’s counsel for education within the Seventh-day Adventist Church by providing an environment that fosters well-rounded development—mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Through this model of education, students learn to integrate faith, knowledge, and service into every aspect of life.

What makes OHC unique is not simply the strength of its Theology, Education, or Vocational programs—it is the way these areas work together to create a transformational educational experience.

Students do not learn biblical truth in one setting, educational principles in another, and practical skills somewhere else. Instead, they are continually challenged to connect what they believe with how they learn, how they work, and how they serve. Biblical principles inform classroom learning. Educational experiences reinforce spiritual growth. Practical work opportunities provide avenues for leadership, service, and character development.

This integrated approach helps students see that every area of life belongs to God. Whether teaching in a classroom, serving in a church, managing a business, working in a trade, or serving on the mission field, graduates leave OHC with the ability to think biblically, lead faithfully, and serve effectively.

Our mission is to develop men and women who are spiritually grounded, intellectually prepared, practically skilled, and committed to making a difference for Christ wherever He calls them.
