Vocational Programs
Our Vocational Programs provide hands-on training that equips students with practical skills, strong work habits, and a heart for service. Through real-world learning experiences, students develop valuable abilities that prepare them for ministry, employment, and everyday life.
At OHC, vocational education is more than learning a trade—it is hands-on training that builds practical skills, strong work habits, creativity, and a spirit of service. Students gain real-world experience in areas such as beekeeping, embroidery and small business development, woodworking, hydrotherapy, welding, small engine repair, sewing, baking, and food preparation while learning principles of craftsmanship, responsibility, customer service, and entrepreneurship.
In our vocational programs, students learn by doing—from building bee boxes and extracting honey to managing inventory, bookkeeping, web presence, and product creation. These experiences help prepare young people to serve others faithfully, work diligently, and develop skills that can support future ministry, employment, and everyday life.

Learn the complete process of caring for bees, from building and assembling their own bee boxes to maintaining healthy hives and harvesting honey. Through hands-on experience, students develop patience, responsibility, and an appreciation for God’s creation while learning practical skills that can become a source of ministry, service, or income.

In woodworking, students learn the fundamentals of craftsmanship, tool safety, measurement, design, and construction techniques. Projects help students develop attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, patience, and pride in producing quality work with their hands.

The hydrotherapy program introduces students to natural remedies and simple treatments that promote health and wellness through the use of water, temperature, rest, and lifestyle principles. Students learn practical applications of hydrotherapy while developing compassion and a desire to serve others through health ministry.

The small engine repair program teaches students how engines function, how to diagnose common problems, and how to repair and maintain equipment such as lawn mowers and small machinery. Students develop mechanical skills, troubleshooting abilities, and confidence in solving practical problems through hands-on learning.

In sewing, students learn foundational skills such as operating sewing machines, reading patterns, repairing garments, and creating useful projects. The program encourages creativity, diligence, and practical life skills while helping students appreciate the value of careful and purposeful work.

The baking program provides students with practical experience in preparing breads, pastries, desserts, and other baked goods while emphasizing cleanliness, organization, and teamwork. Students learn the value of consistency, time management, and serving others through quality food preparation.

Students in food preparation learn essential kitchen skills including meal planning, nutrition, food safety, cooking techniques, and efficient kitchen management. The program emphasizes healthy living, hospitality, teamwork, and preparing meals that can bless families, communities, and ministry settings.

OHC continues to expand vocational opportunities that help students discover practical abilities, develop strong work ethics, and prepare for lives of meaningful service. Each program is designed to encourage responsibility, creativity, entrepreneurship, and Christ-centered character development through real-world experience.
