THEOLOGY DEPARTMENT

Grow in biblical knowledge, spiritual leadership, and practical ministry experience as you prepare to serve wherever God calls.

A Biblical Foundation for Life, Leadership, and Service

The Theology Department serves as the spiritual center of the OHC experience. Every aspect of life is shaped by what we believe about God, His Word, and His purpose for our lives. For this reason, theology at OHC is not viewed merely as an academic subject—it is the foundation upon which all learning, service, and personal growth are built.

Students are invited to explore Scripture deeply, strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ, and develop a clear understanding of biblical truth. Through courses in Bible, doctrine, Christian leadership, evangelism, discipleship, and ministry, students gain a greater appreciation for God’s plan of redemption and His calling for their lives.

Learning extends far beyond the classroom. Students regularly participate in outreach, ministry initiatives, public speaking opportunities, discipleship experiences, and service projects that allow them to apply biblical principles in real-world settings. As they serve, students discover that theology is not simply something to be studied—it is something to be lived.

The department also encourages students to see how biblical principles influence every vocation and area of life. Whether a student becomes a teacher, healthcare professional, tradesperson, entrepreneur, pastor, or missionary, theology provides the framework for ethical decision-making, servant leadership, and Christ-centered living.

Our goal is to prepare graduates who know God’s Word, love God’s people, and are equipped to serve faithfully wherever He leads.

Our Alumni

Our theology, biblical studies, and personal evangelism graduates have done much with their training. Here in North America, our graduates are serving as pastors, evangelists, canvassing leaders, and Bible workers.

Other graduates have gone to foreign mission fields and are using the skills they learned here at OHC to enlarge the kingdom of heaven around the world. Still, others are active leaders in their local Adventist churches, doing their part to hasten the second coming of Jesus.
